Sales Manager Job Description:

As Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving forward sales of the organisation’s range of intermediates & compounds as well as their custom synthesis & analytical services within a growing customer base.
  • Key account management and relationship building for a range of established customers.
  • Working closely with customer teams to establish requirements and ensure optimisation of services provided.
  • Identify and develop new market, sector and potential customer opportunities.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

To be considered for this Sales Manager position, you will have a demonstrated sales track record of selling products and/or services into the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agrochemical or a related speciality chemical industry.

Sales Manager (Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology) Europe

Andrew Bolton at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join a global provider in the supply of chemical products & contract research (CRO) services for customers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology & agrochemical industries.  This is a field based role based role covering the UK & Europe.

Responsibilities:

This Sales Manager role is a key position within the organisation, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing & building relationships with both new & existing customers within the UK & Europe;
  • Delivery of new sales through the development of new customers & market opportunities
  • Key account management to understand customer requirements, negotiation of terms & instigating proposals as well as completion of all sales reports & strategies.

Our client, a industry leading Chemical Manufacturer specialising in Moulded Plastics & Polymer Materials, are currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join their UK Sales Team based from their site in Hertfordshire, UK.

Responsibilities:

Working as a Sales Engineer, your core duties will focus around providing technical sales for the organisation’s range of Polymers & Plastics applications. Their product portfolio includes:

  • Machined PTFE, Peek, TFK, PCTFE and other plastics.
  • Hot & cold compression moulded materials.
  • Melt processable injection/compression moulded materials.

Your duties will also include managing key internal (technical, marketing) & external (customer, supplier) relationships; developingand maintaining marketing strategies; performing customer, market and competitor data analysis as well as developing annual sales plans.

 

Person Specification:

To be considered for this role, you will be educated (ONC / B-Tech or higher) in a Mechanical Engineering discipline; technical knowledge of PTFE machined materials and/or injection moulded plastic components. A full Driving Licence and the willingness to travel within the UK is essential for this position.

Sales Engineer Job (Chemicals) – Home Based, South of England

Our client, a manufacturer of speciality chemicals, is currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team. The Sales Engineer position will be home based centrally in the South of England.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Sales Engineer will be reporting to the Sales Director based in the North West of England and so will be happy to travel when required.

The key responsibilities of this Sales Engineer will include:

  • You will be responsible for product sales and services into the water, food, chemical, pharmaceutical and environmental protection industries.
  • Responsibility for managing specific customers
  • Maintain and develop new sales and business.
  • Providing technical and commercial offers and solutions to resolve problems will be expected.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this Sales Engineer position, you will ideally be educated to Masters level (or equivalent) in chemistry / chemical engineering / biochemistry. As well as possessing sales experience within the Chemical, Water or Environmental Industries you will ideally have worked previously as a chemist or engineer. Negotiation skills with a positive attitude are essential, as is personal drive. You will be well-organised and an excellent relationship builder with strong communication and networking skills. Computer literacy and a full clean driving licence are a must.

Scottish Oil Discovery Boosts Shares in Faroe and Dana

Shares in Faroe Petroleum (FPM) and Dana Petroleum (DMX) have enjoyed a boost of 6.3 percent to their share price after the Atlantic Margin, North Sea and Norway-focused explorer announced an oil discovery at the Tornado exploration project, west of Shetland. The well discovered oil and gas in Tertiary reservoir sandstones, and data collection is currently ongoing. As a result, Dana Petroleum saw its shares rise by almost 3%, whilst shares in Faroe Petroleum got a 6% boost. Dana’s chief executive, Tom Cross, stated: “The discovery of hydrocarbons at Tornado is an important result as it lies in an area of the UK Continental Shelf where Dana and Faroe Petroleum have very strong positions as the key independents. We look forward to the sidetrack well to determine the ultimate size of this new field.” This indicates that the discovery may open up a new area for the duo with the potential to create many new jobs in the oil and gas industry in Scotland.
