Jason Johal at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Pharmaceutical Technical Executive to join an international speciality Pharmaceutical company based in London on a 6 month contract initially.

Responsibilities:

As a Pharmaceutical Technical Executive you will:

  • Provide a technical support service to the Medical and Regulatory Affairs Unit
  • Advise on all relevant product issues
  • Approve technical documentation provided by third parties
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues from manufacturers
  • Be involved in site transfer projects
  • Be responsible for compliance documents
  • Be responsible for expert document writing
  • Apply for licences

Qualifications:

The successful Pharmaceutical Technical Executive will have the following qualifications, skills & experiences:

  • BSc in Pharmacy or Chemistry or equivalent
  • Relevant technical experience gained in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Regulatory experience of CMC documentation (essential)
  • Manufacturing experience (essential)
  • CMC sections experience
  • Document control experience (essential)
  • Regulatory knowledge needed including regulatory licensing
  • Product development experience
  • Technical knowledge across a range of dosage forms (tableting experience is essential)
  • Auditing experience
  • Problem solving experience (essential)
  • Experience dealing with 3rd party manufacturers (advantageous)
  • Technical Transfer knowledge
  • API & Finished product experience

Engineering Manager (Pharmaceutical) – Hertfordshire

Reena Dhana at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Engineering Manager to join a Global Pharmaceutical Organisation at their site in Hertfordshire on a full time, permanent basis

Responsibilities:

As an Engineering Manager, the main purpose of your role will be:

  • Guiding projects for Capital Investment.
  • Accountable for end to end delivery of projects from initiation through to Closure.
  • Ensuring the projects are resourced according including looking at manage risks, schedules and approved budgets to ensure successful deliveries
  • Ensuring Good Engineering Practices (GEP) are used in the design, installation and commissioning of assets
  • Undertaking Change Management, Deviation Investigations, Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) activities and root cause analysis (RCA)

Qualifications and skills:

As an Engineering Manager, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • HND in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in the Project Management in GMP, ideally in manufacturing and/or packaging
  • Demonstrable experience in managing projects from small scale to multi million pounds
  • Previous experience with contract and budget development, cost control, negotiation and execution
  • Proven understanding and familiarity of FDA and MHRA guidance for solid dosage form facility design and operation, cGMP and H&S regulations

Senior Technologist Job – Oxfordshire, UK

CK Science are currently recruiting for a Senior Technologist to join a Pharmaceutical/Medical Device company based in Oxfordshire.

Based within the New Products division, you will provide technical support to New Product introduction (NPI), in particular supporting the characterisation, validation and verification of new products, procedures, materials and tests.

You will take ownership of projects associated with NPI and will oversee all project management, Quality, Validation and organisational aspects required.

The process area and the processes themselves are complicated and as such we require someone who is a quick learner, that is organised and that is self driven. You will work well as part of a team as well as autonomously and it is essential that you have the ability to drive long term projects. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills both written and verbal as you will need to complete technical documentation and present data to all levels within the organisation.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hold a scientific or engineering degree (or equivalent) and will have gained experience within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industries. They will have knowledge of manufacturing or production and will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. They will also have an understanding of the principles behind Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement together with a good understanding of cGMP and quality systems, particularly in areas of the Design Control and Validation.

Our client, a leading Instrumentation Manufacturer, are currently looking for a Production & Service Manager to take lead of the Production and Service department at their site in South East England.


Working as a Production & Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a team involved in the assembly and testing of a wide range of scientific instrumentation. You will also be required to liaise with customers including providing ad hoc on site service visits.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing Instrumentation Manufacturer, which in return offers an attractive salary and benefits package.

To be considered for this Production & Service Manager role, you will have a degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or a relevant Engineering / Technical discipline (or equivalent) and proven practical production or engineering experience of scientific instrumentation.
