  • Other skills: Strong knowledge of laboratory quality standards (ISO) as well as demonstrated experience in a supervisory function including training and mentoring of Technicians and other Analysts.

Our client, a world leading Equipment and Systems manufacturer for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Energy industries, are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join their Commercial Team based from their site in Essex, UK.

 

Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for project management of all aspects surrounding both gas & liquid fuel treatment equipment / systems for clients within the Gas, Petrochemical and Power industries.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing and reviewing project schedules;
  • Negotiation of project delivery prices;
  • Review of engineering / technical drawings to ensure equipment meets customer requirements as well as providing on-site support to customers throughout the process from design phase through to installation.

Analytical Chemist Job (Chemical) – Hampshire, UK

Our client, a leading Analytical Testing Laboratory specialising in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and other Chemical testing, are currently looking for an Analytical Chemist to join their Chromatography Laboratory based from their site in Hampshire.

Working as an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for analysis of fuels, lubricants and greases using Ion Chromatography (IC) analysis as well as more routine wet chemistry such as pH by pH electrode, density measurement and conductivity measurement in line with ASTM & IP methods.

This is an exciting role to join a rapidly expanding organisation, in their state-of-the-art testing laboratory. In return they offer an attractive salary and benefits package.

To be considered for this Analytical Chemist role, you will have a degree (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry or a related Chemistry discipline. Industrial experience using Ion Chromatography in the analysis of chemical samples would be advantageous, but training will be provided.

Shift Analyst Job (Crude Oil, Petrochemical) – UK

Our client, an industry leading Petrochemical Testing Laboratory, are currently looking for a Shift Analyst to join their state-of-the-art Crude Oil Assay Laboratory facilities based at their site in London.

Working as a Shift Analyst, you will be responsible for distilling and analysing crude oil samples and other hydrocarbon products using a range of analytical, characterisation and deposition tests such as Crude oil characterization, hydrocarbon analysis, Asphaltene and Waxes deposition as well as catalyst pilot plant evaluation testing.

This Shift Analyst role is on a rotating, three shift system, based on Monday to Friday – 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am.

Lab Technician (Oil & Gas) – North West, UK

A Lab Technician is required to work shifts in the analytical laboratory of a global organization based in the North West of England, UK.

As Lab Technician you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Analyzing samples according to set procedures.
  • Recording of results.
  • Reporting and logging of failures and subsequent investigations.
  • Performing quality control checks and assisting the Shift Supervisor when necessary.
  • Continually improving all aspects of the laboratory, including relationships and communication between departments.

The ideal candidate for this Lab Technician job will be qualified to minimum HNC/HND in a chemistry related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience working in a laboratory. It would also be useful to have some knowledge of LIMS IT systems, and preferably CCLAS. You must hold a full UK driving licence, be computer literate and be entitled to work in the UK.
