Principal Scientist for CVMD – Cambridge

Jason at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Principal Scientist for Chronic Kidney Disease to join a Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease (CVMD) group for a company seeking to recruit high calibre scientists to enable progression of an expanding drug project portfolio in diabetes, obesity and diabetic complications. Based in Cambridge this role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will:

  • Play a leading role within the CVMD Research group in defining scientific strategy and will be responsible for building the scientific and technical capabilities required for progressing drug projects for diabetic nephropathy.
  • Have scientific expertise in metabolic disease, and more specifically in diabetic nephropathy, so as to inform new target selection and shape the capability build within CVMD Research.

This is a “hands-on” scientific and technical role and the successful candidate will be expected to remain active in the laboratory and “lead from the bench”, developing a group of scientists providing key experimental data to support project teams in the UK and Europe.

Principal Scientist for Metabolic Disease

Jason at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Principal Scientist for Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease to join an Adipose Tissue Biology Team for a company committed to growing its Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease (CVMD) Research & Development capability based in Cambridge on a full time, permanent basis.

As Principal Scientist for Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease you will:

  • Proactively inform and influence CVMD scientific strategy through expert knowledge of adipose tissue biology and its potential as a therapeutic target tissue for novel drugs for the treatment of metabolic disease.
  • Build and lead a group of scientists’ expert in the study of adipose tissue physiology/pathophysiology that will support several drug discovery projects.
