Mechanical Engineer job – Berkshire

Andrew Bolton is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join an international Chemical Manufacturer at their site in Berkshire on a full time, permanent basis.

This role is on a shift basis of 4 days on, 4 days off from 8am – 7pm.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be working within their Test Rig Team providing specialist testing services in support of R&D activities on the organisations industrial lubricants & engine oils. Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out mechanical tests using bespoke test rigs as part of product evaluation.
  • Running field based testing when required.
  • Working closely with R&D and Technical Support Teams to coordinate projects.
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers (OEMs) regarding issues & faults with test rigs.

Qualifications

As a Mechancial Engineer, you will have the following qualifications, skills & experience:

  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent) or experience in a mechanical / testing function.
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical test rigs, engines / vehicles parts, industrial chemical testing or a related industry / environment.
  • Working knowledge in any of the following fields would be advantageous but are not essential: electronics, software, programming, mechanical design, testing of transmission or physics.

Mechanical Engineer – Halifax

Responsibilities:

Senior Mechanical Engineer Job in London

Andrew Bolton at CK Science is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a Chemical Technology Manufacturer based in London.

 

The Company

Andrew’s client is an industry leading Chemical Technology Manufacturer who specialises in technology and equipment for the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and other Chemical industries. They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be base d from their site in London.

The Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in all stages of customer projects from concept, through to development, commissioning and installation. Your duties will include the design & development of novel technologies, with a focus on rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, fans & steam turbines; preparation of specifications, tender evaluations and monitoring of progress of drawings & manufactured equipment / components as well as attending meetings with clients & vendors. You may also be required to travel to customer’s sites within the UK or Overseas to supervise equipment commisioning, installation and testing.

The ideal candidate:

The successful candidate for this Senior Mechanical Engineer position will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent) and demonstrated experience in a similar position gained within an equipment manufacturer or a related chemical industry. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential to be prepared to travelto customers sites within the UK & Overseas on an occasional basis.

Lead Auditor

  • Location: Hampshire
  • Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

Test Engineer

  • Salary: £24,000 – £27,000

Working as a Test Engineer, you will be involved in providing product testing, inspection and certification services to clients in the Consumer, Medical Device, Lighting, Telecom and many other industries.

Your duties will include carrying out product assessments; checking clients specification drawings against test requirements; carrying out testing work in line with relevant quality or certification standards as well as recording assessment and test results.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leader in Electrical & Electronic testing which provides services such as safety testing, EMC testing and certification management. In return they offer an attractive salary and benefits package.

To be considered for this role, you will be educated in an Electrical or Electronic Engineering discipline (or equivalent) and demonstrated experience of carrying out electrical and/or electronic testing (e.g. safety testing, EMC testing, performance testing). Project Engineer

  • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

Working as a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for management of the two workshop teams made up of electrical & electronic test engineers involved in providing product testing, inspection and certification services to clients in the Consumer, Medical Device, Lighting, Telecom and many other industries. The role can be primarily based at either site, with 2 – 3 days per week spent at the other site depending on workload.

Your duties will include day-to-day management of test engineers; scheduling of work and management of test turnaround; ensure all documentation including previous test notes ad component certification is available to test engineers; maintain workshop in line with quality standards (ISO 17025) as well as where needed, carry out witness testing and testing at manufacturers premises.

Working as a Mechanical Engineer Consultant, you will be working as part of multi-disciplinary project teams involved in the design and development of medical device technology for various industries.

Junior Product Development Engineer Job – Wales

My client is currently seeking to recruit a Junior Product Development Engineer to work with them at their site in South Wales on a permanent basis.

This Junior Product Development role will involve developing novel and effective surgeon-driven electro-surgical instruments that improve patient outcome and enable faster recovery, carry out engineering design activities which contribute to the entire development process from Phase 0 through to 5 including; research, concept generation and selection, development, CAD modelling, calculations, analysis, engineering drawing, prototype, testing, design for manufacture, reviews, verification and validation, provide input on product support issues, liaise with suppliers, work to 21 CFR 820, ISO 14385 amongst others and provide input into other team members.

The ideal candidate for this Junior Product Development role will be educated to degree level, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or similar with a medical device bias would be an advantage.

Mechanical Engineer Job (CAD Design) – Oxford, UK

Our client, a rapidly expanding Diagnostic Technology organisation, are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Design and Testing division based at their site in Oxfordshire.

This is an entry level position for a Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative Diagnotic organisation at an exciting time of growth. In return they offer an attractive salary.
