Laboratory Analyst

Graeme Pallas is recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to be based in Billingham working for a chemical manufacturing company.

You will be working at an electrolyte facility carrying out quality control analysis using a range of analytical methods, such as wet chemistry and HPLC.

A qualification in a chemistry related subject and experience in an industrial laboratory, from something such as a student placement, is needed for this role.

Laboratory Analyst – Herts

Julie Marshall is recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join a manufacturing and supply division in Hertfordshire on a 6 month contract basis.

Responsibilities include supporting the laboratory team so to provide an effective analytical service, and be competent at operating analytical equipment including HPLC, GC as well as carrying out dissolution testing with limited supervision.

For this position you need to have experience of working in a GMP environment and be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.

Laboratory Analyst – County Durham

Graeme Pallas at CK Science is recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join a blue chip pharmaceutical company at their site in Barnard Castle, County Durham on a contract until the end of the year.

Responsibillities:

As a Laboratory Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out analysis on pharmaceutical products and raw materials by HPLC, UV and Dissolution techniques
  • Follow SOPs in strict compliance to cGMP
  • Perform general laboratory maintenance duties

Qualifications:

As a Laboratory Analyst you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Degree in chemistry or related subject
  • Analytical experience in a commercial laboratory

The successful Laboratory Analyst will be joining a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry at their site in Barnard Castle.  This is initially a contract until the end of 2013, however, there is a strong likelihood this will be extended.

Senior Analytical Chemist – North East England

Barney Smith at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Senior Analytical Chemist to join a pharmaceutical company  in North East England. This role will initially be a 6 month temporary contract with the potential to be extended or even made permanent. 

 

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate for this Senior Analytical Chemist will work to cGMP and will be responsible for developing new analytical methods where required for the analysis of raw materials, intermediates and final products. Alongside this you will perform routine testing of products using a range of analytical methods. In addition, you will carry out method validation activities.

 

Qualifications:

Our client is seeking a Technician to work on, initially, a temporary to permanent contract. Technical Support Scientist

Our client is a biotechnology company based in the North East of England.  They require a scientist to join their product support team on initially a 6 month contract.  Reporting to the technical services manager you will be responsible for providing clients in both the UK and overseas in providing technical support and troubleshooting.  This will involve travelling to customer sites, providing advice and troubleshooting support and lab testing.

You must be qualified to minimum HNC level in a microbiology, biotechnology or relevant engineering subject or possess equivalent industrial experience.  You must also be happy to travel worldwide, sometimes at short notice and be comfortable in customer facing roles.

Analytical Chemist – Stability

Our client based in the North East of England is a major biotechnology company and they are seeking a QC Analyst to join their team on a temporary contract with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Duties will include performing sample receipt and analysis (chemical, biochemical and microbiological) against agreed plans on all Stability work plans. The roles are mainly chemistry based and will involve using techniques such as HPLC, SDS-Page, ELISA and UV but some knowledge of microbiology would be beneficial as the role also involves carrying out endotoxin and bioburden testing. Complete documentation to GMP standards.

The successful candidates ideally will be qualified to Degree level in a Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry based subject and have a strong analytical background working to GMP.

Customer Support Technician – Packaging

The successful candidate will be accountable for customer relationships and workload management for the launch of new packaging designs. Working towards demanding deadlines you will coordinate the processing of new pack creations to meet customer requirements. Keeping your clients informed of pack design progress.

Ideally, you will have experience gained in a packaging or relationship management environment and be of graduate calibre.
