Maintenance Supervisor – Kent

Andrew Bolton at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading Diagnostics Manufacturer at their R&D and GMP Manufacturing facilities based in Kent on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be leading a team of 5 Maintenance Technicians and 1 Administrator that are responsible for preventative & reactive maintenance across 3 sites based within close proximity in Kent.

Your duties will include:

  • Day-to-day management of the team including work load scheduling / management and budgets.
  • Ensuring maintenance of research, production and related facilities including pressure systems, electrical & electro-mechanical equipment & utilities.
  • Develop & maintain the organisation’s Computerised Maintenance Management System.
  • Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on all re-occurring faults and performing Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) to establish potential improvements.
  • Maintain records & documentation for regulatory purposes.

Qualifications:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will have the following qualifications, skills & experience:

  • A qualification in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in a multi disciplinary maintenance (electrical bias) environment or a relevant field such as facilities or equipment.
  • Experience in the Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or a related GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, team leader or management experience.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be joining a leading Diagnostic Organisation which offers a supportive culture, coupled with a package including a salary between £35,000 – £38,000 depending on experience, pension & private medical.

Andrew Bolton at CK Science is currently looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join an international medical device organisation, specialising in the development & manufacturing of industry changing molecular diagnostic technology to be based from their site in Wiltshire.

Responsibilities:

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for planning, developing & implementing strategies across operational management & development including management of internal operations encompassing commercial manufacturers, supply chain, logistics, materials management & technical support to customers.

Your duties will include:

  • A key member of the Executive Leadership Team liaising with other Directors & Managers, coupled with leading, managing & developing Operations Team.
  • Lead, drive and manage the development and evaluation of the Company operational strategy and performance.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.
  • Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities, development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Maintain awareness & knowledge of operational best practice to achieve company goals.
  • Represent the company at meetings with external parties, customers & at industry events / conferences.

Our client a world-leading manufacturer of diagnostic reagents are looking for a Quality Manager to join their team in Scotland.

Responsibilities:

As Quality Manager you will be responsible for the management of quality management systems and procedures ensuring all products meet regulatory (ISO) and GMP compliance and customer specifications including liaising with relevant external and regulatory bodies.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that procedure and practice implemented within supplier quality are consistent with best practice and comply with the necessary Quality and Regulatory requirements.
  • Being responsible for agreeing the appropriateness of all associated CAPA plans
  • Manage QA processes for incoming material with appropriate documentation and QMS
  • Manage effective batch review and release Process
  • Manage effective compliance by responding and implementing corrective actions post-audit (FDA) and encompassing both systems and processes.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this Quality Manager position will have quality assurance experience in the diagnostics or related industries.

This position also demands a working knowledge of quality assurance systems and the ability to represent the company on a professional level during on-site assessments at suppliers. Experience in the quality auditing systems at manufacturing facilities is also essential.

They are currently looking for a Senior Assay Development Scientist to head up their Assay Development Team based from their site in London.
