Jason Johal at CK Science is currently recruiting for a QC Manager to be based in West Sussex.
Jason’s client is a speciality pharmaceutical company focused upon the treatment and prevention of allergy.
As QC Manager you will act as the leader within the QC department and organise/manage a team of analysts to complete the testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products.
You will be working alongside two other QC Team Leaders (for Chemistry and Microbiology), running the Biochemistry laboratory and supervising a team of 6-8 scientists at various levels.
As QC Manager, you will be expected to maintain and improve the high standards of compliance within QC laboratories. In addition, you will be working with the QC teams to improve working systems and practices.
This is a permanent role with a salary up to £30,000.
The ideal candidate:
To be considered for this QC Manager position, you will have both supervisory and biochemistry experience and will be able to carry out scientific “bench” work as well as have the ability to deal with the day to day issues of supervising a team and liaising with management.
You will also hold a degree in a relevant science (or equivalent) and will have proven pharmaceutical experience.
In addition, you will be able to work in a demanding environment, following Good Laboratory Practice, will have excellent organisation and planning skills and will be able to communicate with a variety of different people from across the business at all levels.
