Technologist

CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist to join a global materials manufacturing company based near Skelmersdale, on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is a global leader in manufacturing glass for architectural, automotive and technical sectors. They are also involved with the decarbonisation of the glassmaking process. Having recently completed a novel hydrogen firing trial, they are incorporating more green electricity into the process, including implementing innovative carbon capture technologies. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Technologist to join them. Location:

The Technologist position will be based at the company's site near Skelmersdale, easily commutable by road from Liverpool, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Manchester and surrounding areas. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the company's location.

Your main duties will involve:

• Key responsibilities in glass forming & annealing and decarbonisation technologies.
• Practical site-based activities and theoretical work.
• Leading and providing technical support to production issues and projects.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

• Science or Engineering degree qualified with minimum 5-7 years work experience.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of glass forming and annealing.
• Project management experience would be advantageous.
