Hendre Moolman is recruiting for a Research Physician to join a long established and well regarded Clinical Pharmacology Unit in South Wales.

Responsibilities:

As Research Physician you provide medical guidance and leadership for the development and execution of clinical trials.

Key duties will include:

  • Medical screening of all healthy volunteers and providing ongoing medical support by reviewing ECGs, vital signs, blood results and adverse events
  • Ensuring that all activities comply with Medical, Scientific and Ethical Standards and trials are run in accordance with protocols, SOPs and ICH-GCP requirements
  • Fully explaining each study and obtaining written informed consent from potential trial participants
  • Actingas Sub-Investigator/Study Physician for designated studies ensuring adequate continuity of care of trial participants throughout studies
  • Ensure communication with volunteers' General Practitioners regarding their participation in a study, collaborative care and follow-up
  • Providing medical cover outside of normal working hours as part of an On-Call Rota

Qualifications:

As Research Physician you will require:

  • A Medical Degree and GMC registration with a License to Practice
  • Extensive post-registration / post-foundation experience
  • Ideally with industry based clinical research experience
  • A post-graduate Clinical Pharmacology qualification would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
