Shift Site Chemist - Glamorgan
Are you a chemistry graduate looking for a new role, or do you have industrial analytical chemistry experience? I am currently recruiting for a Shift Site Chemist to join a provider of chemical waste treatment, disposal and recycling services, based in Glamorgan on a full time, permanent basis. Please note that this role will be working in the outdoors regardless of weather conditions and will also operate on a shift basis.
The Company: Our client is a leading provider of chemical waste treatment, disposal and recycling services in the UK, and we are currently recruiting for a Shift Site Chemist with a minimum of a HNC qualification or above in Chemistry or a related subject, to work at their waste treatment facility. This role would be suitable for someone with a chemistry degree looking to begin their career or an established waste chemist. You will be required to work staggered days shifts which will either be 6am-3pm or 9am-6pm Monday-Friday. The company is able to offer a starting salary of circa £21,500pa depending on experience.
Further responsibilities of this Site Chemist will include:
- Input control
- Process authorisation
- Requires a hands-on person capable of mostly outdoor work (in an industrial environment)
- Some laboratory work
As a Site Chemist, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- HNC qualification or equivalent in Chemistry - minimum essential requirement
- Preferably degree qualified in Chemistry
- Industrial or waste experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Driving license required due to location of site and shifts
