Shift Site Chemist - Derbyshire
Natalie Wood is recruiting for a Shift Site Chemist to join a provider of chemical waste treatment, disposal and recycling services, based in Derbyshire (commutable from Nottinghamshire) on a full time, permanent basis. Please note that this role will be on a shift basis and will be working in the outdoors.
The company has a number of sites throughout the UK and this at their Head Office. The Shift Site Chemist will work on a rotating shift pattern (currently 06.00 to 15.00, 08.00 to 17.00, 09.00 to 18.00 or 11.00 to 20.00), Monday to Friday, with a one hour unpaid lunch break. Please note that you may be required to work weekends, bank holidays and nights on a reasonable rota basis and this will qualify for time off in lieu or additional remuneration. Full training (including environmental legislation and regulation) is provided and please note that this person will be working in the outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Further responsibilities of this Shift Site Chemist will include:
- input control
- process authorisation
- requires a hands-on person capable of mostly outdoor work (in an industrial environment)
- some laboratory work
As a Shift Site Chemist, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- HNC qualification or equivalent in Chemistry - minimum essential requirement
- preferably degree qualified or equivalent in Chemistry
- industrial or waste experience would be beneficial but not essential
- driving license required due to location of site and shifts
