Are you an experienced Sales Manager looking for your next role in industry?

We are recruiting for a Sales Manager to join a company who supply formulated bespoke or off the shelf chemical blends for metal finishing processes. This is a full- time, permanent role for a company based in Mid- Wales. The role will involve up to 60% travel visiting customer sites across the UK.

The Company:

They are a leading manufacturer and contract blender serving the metal finishing market with a strong focus in the automotive sector.

The Person:

A passion to lead by example, managing all levels of accounts, winning new customers, hiring, guiding, supervising and developing new team members. The ability to build strong relationships both internally across teams, and with customers and prospects. Analytical. Charismatic. Impeccable judgement. Experience of new product introduction is desirable. A science or maths qualification is essential.

The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the MD and supporting colleagues on both existing and new customers. The pipeline will be crucial. There will be an emphasis on managing and growing the key channel influencers on both core and new products within the portfolio, and ensuring targeted growth commitments. The team will expand commensurate with the sales growth.

Sales Manager: Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To deliver sustainable & ongoing growth.
  • Ability, desire, knowledge & motivation to hire and train a new sales team.
  • Customer feedback including sample management (collecting samples for analysis from industrial tanks).
  • To control customer sales attrition, to grow trading customers and to convert new customers.
  • Salesforce (CRM sales tool) update and maintenance.

The ability to work effectively within all levels of the organisation is essential. Having the flexibility and positive attitude towards team work is also a fundamental requirement. You must be organised and able to prioritise with effective time management skills. The individual must also be proficient at handling multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy & attention to detail.
