CK Group are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join a rapidly growing manufacturer of nutraceutical products, to be based at their site in Houghton-le-Spring on a permanent basis.

The Company: Our client is a family owned manufacturer of capsule and tablet based nutraceutical products. Following a period of investment into the site, they have identified the need to for a Quality Technician to support their continued growth. This new position offers excellent opportunities for personaldevelopment, and would be ideally suited to a candidate with a background in production, who has worked in a mixing room, or tableting position, and who has an interest in quality.

Location: This role is located in Houghton-le-Spring, and is easily accessible by road from the A1 or A19, with free parking facilities on site. .

Quality Technician Role: The main purpose of your role will be the inspection and testing of raw materials and finished product, and supporting with production audits.

Your other duties will include:

  • Identification of out of specification and non-conforming product, and reporting this to the quality manager
  • Supporting with the implementation of corrective and preventative actions
  • Suggesting continuous improvements

Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of working in a production or quality position in either the pharmaceutical or food industry, or another related industry. You should have a good understanding of mixing. Experience gained in the production of capsules or tablets will be highly beneficial for this position.
