QC Microbiology Specialist
Naynesh at CK Science is currently recruiting for a highly experienced QC Microbiologist Specialist. This is a unique position with a major initiative that has and continues to help develop the UK cell and gene therapy industry. A permanent position based at our clients site in Stevenage.
The successful candidate will support the clients new GMP QC laboratories and ensure the new manufacturing centre meets the standards and expectations of its key stakeholders and potential collaborators. You will have a strong QC Microbiology commercial background with analytical techniques in Flow Cytometry, qPCR and ELISA
If successful you will be enabling companies to progress product into the clinic and ultimately to market and you will be having a direct impact on the Cell Therapy Industry in the UK and most importantly changing patients' lives. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis and comes with a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + benefits.

Environmental monitoring / microbiology raw material, in-process, final product & sterility testing
Assist in the technical transfer, validation and routine performing of analytical techniques used for the testing and release of cell and gene therapy products, including flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA.
QC Sample Management & LIMS Management - to support the Sample Management function to ensure the QC group provides a timely, effective and efficient service
Support microbiology test validations and method qualifications (i.e. provide support for aseptic process qualifications, such as aseptic gowning, good aseptic practises and media fills etc.)
- MSc or BSc in a relevant biological or commercial discipline.
- Experience working in microbiology or in an aseptic (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing environment operating according to GMP.
- Experience of writing and reviewing GMP documents.
- Experience in interacting with the regulatory authorities - Desirable.
- Experience in interacting with clients and collaborators - Desirable.
