James Horne is currently recruiting for a QC Analyst for a pharmaceutical company that specialises in the design and technical support of advanced coating systems, modified release technologies and functional excipients for pharmaceutical dosage forms.
They are committed to providing the best-in-class pharmaceutical products and services to support all phases of solid dose design and development, along with superior technical support dedicated to meeting their customers' needs. Based on the London/Kent border and commutable from London this role is offered on a full time permanent basis with a salary of between £19,000 - £23,000 depending on experience, plus a 17.5% shift allowance.
The role will involve the Quality Control testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products, to internal GMP guidelines and the manufacture of testing materials and reagents. You will be expected to keep good and safe housekeeping of your work area and to work with other team members to provide flexible cover, as and when required. You will also support continuous process improvements to optimise departmental flow, plant, capacity and man hour's efficiency while contributing to improvement projects.
You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Experience in QC or another analytical laboratory.
- Knowledge & experience of major wet chemical & instrumental analytical techniques.
- Knowledge & experience of Microbiological analytical techniques.
- Experience in using pharmacopoeial methods.
You must be willing to work a alternating weekly shift pattern of 6.00-14.00 and 14.00-22.00.
