Julie Marshall at CK Science is recruiting for a QA Specialist to join a company in the Sussex region within the Pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 6 months.

The main purpose of the role will be to:

Be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for day to day aseptic manufacturing processes. Perform investigations into non conformity and maintain and improve compliance to processes, equipment and facilities in line with relevant regulatory legislation. Lead Root Cause investigations in to Microbiological excursions. Provide technical expertise to maintain aseptic manufacturing processes in a manner compliant with GMP. Troubleshoot day to day issues to ensure minimum downtime as a result of microbiological or environmental issues. Take ownership of, or providing support for, Continuous Improvement activities, Regulatory Compliance and Technical projects. Undertake routine aseptic audits across the value stream. Feedback microbiological data to the manufacturing floor to help improve awareness and to drive improvement in aseptic practices. Support process simulation/media fill activities where required.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Degree (or equivalent) in Biology/Microbiology, to ensure a good grasp of microbiology in order to fulfil the basic requirements and have an acceptable level of aseptic processing. You will have the ability to enable effective root cause analysis during investigations and identify potential failure modes when implementing new project processes. Previous experience in a GMP environment and ideally aseptic processing, sterilization processes and Quality Assurance would be desirable. You will have strong planning and organisational ability with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will be able to function in an atmosphere of constant change with detailed accuracy.
