Protein Purification Scientist
CK Group are recruiting for a Protein Purification Scientist to join a multi-national Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation in the biopharmaceutical industry at their site in Billingham, on a contract basis.
Our client is an instantly recognisable brand throughout the globe developing and producing products across a range of industries from the printing sector to the life sciences industry. Their facilities located in the northeast of England operate as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation to the global biopharmaceutical industry. Here, the facility is responsible for undertaking high quality research, development and manufacturing operations on behalf of their clients.
Location:This Protein Purification Scientist role is located in the Teeside region. The site is well serviced with good transportation links.
Your main duties will be:
- Performing protein purification methods using AKTA systems.
- Implementing and managing downstream experimental development programmes to evaluate and characterise new processes for target molecules.
- Carrying out process technology transfer from client companies into the facility.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Qualification in a biological subject.
- Experience using AKTA systems for the purification of proteins.
- Mammalian Cell Culture experience (CHO cell lines preferred).
