CK Group are recruiting for a Shift QA Microbiologist to join a multi-national pharmaceutical company at their site based in Montrose until 31st December 2019. Depending on level of experience the hourly rate will be between £12-15 per hour.

The Location:

The site is a 45-acre primary manufacturing site by the sea with over 300 permanent staff on-site. At this site Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients are converted into tablets, creams, and inhalers used for the treatment of Asthma, Eczema, AIDS/HIV, Influenza, high blood pressure plus more. The site is situated 38 miles north of Dundee between the mouths of the North and South Esk rivers.

The Role:

The main purpose of your role as a Microbiologist will be to:- Carry out microbiological monitoring/product testing including water testing and environmental monitoring.

  • Complete documentation associated with these activities.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Be involved in relevant laboratory investigations.
  • Conduct sterility testing.

In addition to the above duties the manager would like support with implementing a new project. Candidates with additional project management skills will be favoured.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Qualification in Microbiology or similar life sciences subject.
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment.
  • Be familiar with microbiological identification work, media fertility testing, environmental monitoring, endotoxin testing or water filtration.
  • Project management skills would be an advantage.
