Julie Marshall at CK Science is currently recruiting for a Microbiologist in Berkshire, to join an FMCG company on a temporary basis for 6 months.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to:

Perform microbiologically required tests within the following areas: Mouthwash, Paste and Raw Materials. Be responsible for handling LIRs, deviations and to drive change and continuous improvement.

Perform calibration checks on all analytical equipment. Assist with housekeeping duties within the laboratory, eg. 5S, spillage control. Recognise where a deviation has occurred and escalate following relevant site process and assist in any investigations. Prepare buffer solutions and reagents.

You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

BSc/MSc/PhD or equivalent in a scientific subject, ideally Microbiology or related area. You will have microbiology expertise with experience of handling LIRs, deviations, and the ability to drive change and continuous improvement.

Experience of working within a Microbiology testing laboratory is essential. Knowledge and understanding of GMP, Quality, and Health & Safety processes is required.
