Barney Smith at CK Science is recruiting for a Manufacturing Shift Manager to work at a global leading food manufacturer based near Glasgow on a permanent basis.

In this role you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all production activities required to meet production forecasts and any production related activities. This will involve providing leadership of the shift operation, ensuring maximum performance from the production team, achieving maximum output levels and ensuring quality standards are adhered to and surpassed across plants. You will champion continuous improvement throughout all areas of the plant, and to challenge and contribute significantly to process and procedure development.

No formal qualifications are necessary but you must have a proven track record in working as a manufacturing manager within the food or related fast paced industries. You must be comfortable to working to tight deadlines and taking full responsibility for hitting production targets. Your previous manufacturing management experience will be essential in effectively communicating changes and implementations to relevant manufacturing and production teams.
