Licensed Technologist / Scientist - London
Lana Premadasa is recruiting for a Licensed Technologist or Research Scientist to join a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialisation of gene therapies for debilitating disorders based on a next-generation AAV gene therapy platform. This is a permanent role based in London and offers an excellent salary dependent on experience and a good benefits package. Applications from more senior candidates will also be welcomed.
The Company: Our client is fast progressing simultaneously several programmes towards clinical investigation and having established a new Discovery Laboratory to ensure the rapid translation of their innovative vectors into clinic they are now moving into a manufacturing phase. The research group places a strong emphasis on innovation, ability to make a difference to the patients, as well as the ability to apply your skills and develop new ones by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. They will provide you with promising and exiting research projects in an environment that strongly values your development.
The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled individual with an excellent track record to contribute to the discovery of our client's next AAV-based gene-therapy medicines capable of changing the treatment paradigm. You will actively support pre-clinical research programs by assisting with experiments, handling, dosing, sample collection, performing accurate data collection, / in vitro-ex vivo assays and reporting with supervision.
You will be part of a truly innovative research team in gene therapy and will be developing their next generation of therapeutics. The role is designed to provide a strong research foundation that is supported by their newly created state of the art facility.
Your Background: With Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) plus laboratory experience and a Home Office Personal License (Modules 1-4 or 1-5 certification) you will be competent in various routes of drug delivery and will have experience in basic laboratory techniques, including Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, WB, PCR, cell staining and FACS.
