Laboratory Chemist - Shropshire
Natalie Wood is recruiting for a Laboratory Chemist to join a leading manufacturer of lubricants based in Shropshire on a full time permanent basis. This role is a full time permanent role offering a salary of between £18,000- £23,000 depending on experience.

The role is located in Shropshire, an area which offers beautiful countryside and peaceful surroundings. Although in a rural location there are excellent transport links to a number of surrounding cities. If you were to drive to the surrounding cities Telford is 25 minutes away, the M6 30 minutes, central Birmingham just over an hour away.
The main purpose of the role will be to analyse raw materials and finished products to ensure adherence to written specifications as part of the Quality Assurance process. To aid analysis of customer service samples received from vehicles and machinery for condition monitoring purposes. Be responsible the maintenance of the laboratory management and calibration systems to include LIMS and ISO 9001. To perform blend studies as part of a product development or a product reformulation program.
The ideal candidate for this role will hold a minimum of a HNC in Chemistry (or related discipline) however a degree would be preferable and have some industrial experience. Ideally using FTIR, ICP and XRF instruments and familiarity of testing of lubricants would be an advantage. However they are happy to consider candidates without industrial experience who are enthusiastic and keen to learn.
