Jenni Woolley is recruiting for a Human Resources Associate to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Basingstoke on a 12 month contract basis.

They also continue to pursue innovative science and new opportunities beyond our targeted disease categories.This role is located in Basingstoke at our clients Headquarters, which has a train station on the main line from London to Southampton as well as a line to Reading. Alternatively the town is conveniently situated on the M3 motorway and is just one hour from London and Southampton. The A33 also links the town with Reading and the M4.

The Senior Human Resources Associate will be joining the HRAnswers team, established in 2005 to centralize the HR Administration and Data Analysis support into a single UK team, supporting the HR Business Partners and Employee Relations teams at our clients3 UK sites.

As a Human Resources Associate you could expect to carry out the following duties:

  • Be responsible and accountable for administration and correspondence throughout the employee lifecycle, covering all areas such as recruitment, induction, transfers, compensation and benefits, references, policies, maternity/paternity, retirement and leavers in accordance with HR processes.
  • Provide information and support to line managers, employees and HR teams on a wide range of HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • First level triage of employee issues before escalating to employee relations.
  • Providing basic Employee Relations advice to line managers on key HR processes including sickness/absence, performance and short or long term leave.
  • Providing entry level support in ER case management.
  • Understands fully the link between the processes and policies, suggesting and implementing improvements or changes.
  • Ownership of HRA improvement projects, including providing recommendations on particular areas of expertise as appropriate.
  • Responsible for key assigned HR Processes.
  • Providing entry level support in ER case management.
  • Proactively work within the team to ensure that peaks in workload are managed smoothly.
  • First point of contact for HR enquiries from external organizations and vendors and refer as appropriate.

The Human Resources Associate role would suit an individual who is seeking to develop a career in HR and is looking for a busy, varied role or is ready to take on greater responsibilities. To be successful in your application you should have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Either prior HR administration experience or HR or similar Graduate.
  • Experience of operating under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly sensitive and confidential environment.
  • Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Candidates with experience or knowledge in the following areas will be particularly favoured:

  • Experience of working in a Corporate Environment.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, and data manipulation of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets an advantage.
  • Basic project management and process improvement.
  • Working towards or achieved Level 3-5 CIPD.
