Development Scientist - Surrey
Julie Marshall at CK Science is recruiting for a Formulation Development Scientist to join an NPD department for a company in the Healthcare industry at their site based in Surrey on a contract basis until August 2015.
The main purpose of the role will be to:
Develop formulations and provide evaluations of materials and products, at all stages of the development process. Deliver work of high scientific standard to develop formulations and test methods to deliver the new product development pipeline.
Further responsibilities will include:
The design of experiments and carry out scientific work with an awareness of state-of-the-art technology, as well as creating research plans to fit overall project objectives. Contributing to one or more projects in support of departmental plans. Ensuring all work is conducted following good scientific practice and Good Manufacturing Practice (where required). Being responsible for the development and implementation of the technical transfer of methods or processes.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
BSc degree, (or equivalent) and/or experience, in a science/healthcare related discipline. Formulation development of conventional liquid, or semi-solid, dosage forms, and/or execution of analytical methods, such as ion chromatography, HPLC, GC is preferred. You will be a clear communicator in both oral and written forms with both internal departments and external organisations. You will possess the ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work effectively in teams and multitask.
