Sarah Farrow at CK Science is recruiting for a Colour Technician on behalf of a leading global coatings manufacturer at their site near Newcastle on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting colour measurement instrumentation and software.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis and monitoring of colour data to ensure colour standards are adhered to
  • Liaising with pigments and inks suppliers
  • Identifying and leading continuous improvement activities related to ongoing colour issues, customer complaints and any other ongoing projects

To be considered for the position you should have good colour vision and an excellent understanding of colour principles. Ideally you will be qualified to degree level, or equivalent in chemistry or another relevant scientific subject, or have experience of colour control in a similar position.
