Colloid Material Scientist - Hertfordshire
Julie Marshall at CK Science is recruiting for a Colloid Materials Scientist to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Hertfordshire on a contract basis for 12 months.
The main purpose of the role will be to:
Work on separation, identification and quantification of chemical components of natural and synthetic materials. Design and perform quantitative and/or qualitative analysis using classical and instrumental methods. Deliver materials science projects within a laboratory environment and all grades are accountable for the successful delivery of the technical aspects of the projects you are working on. Maintain a high level of engagement and influencing with the site, R&D and 3rd Party Suppliers. Keep abreast of material science developments in the external environment.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline related to materials science is preferred. BSc graduate (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline related to materials science is essential. You will undertake activities which will involve cross functional teams, across a number of sites, so ability to matrix manage project teams remotely is required. This role will require maintenance of external links to appropriate academic institutions and SMEs. The role will involve regular interactions with senior stakeholders across the site e.g. site leads or technical directors, technical and quality VPs. This role requires a degree of flexibility in being able to travel to support appropriate Network priority and able to work for periods away from home/site.
