The Role: You will be responsible for multiple categories across the business and will be the driving force behind the implementation of strategic sourcing of raw materials, consumables, capital equipment and services with the responsibility of ensuring the quality meets all requirements and purchases are delivered on time to sites globally at the best overall cost.

This will include identifying opportunities for improvements, optimising processes and driving cost savings for direct and indirect procurement. You will author SLA and contracts and assist in Quality Technical agreements, work with key end-user stakeholders to identify, screen, select, qualify, and monitor vendors to ensure highest quality standards are maintained and identify opportunities and develop plans to centralise purchasing activity across the purchasing base to capitalise on volume discounts and reduce internal costs.

Other duties will include creating and managing purchase requisitions and purchase orders, owning, managing and controlling vendor master data, continuously evaluating purchasing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining and leading and participating in the improvement of internal processes for the acquisition and lifecycle management of products and services. An initial key factor will be the implementation of an ERP system (Netsuite).

Your Background: Experience of working in a highly regulated industry (Pharmaceuticals or Biotech) and/or a startup Biotech is required as is practical experience and a sound understanding of the required industry standards for procurement, supply and distribution of materials for GMP manufacture and clinical supply.
