Jason Johal is recruiting for an experienced Program Manager to play a pivotal role with an international, (bio)pharmaceutical company who are active around the entire globe. Based in the northern Netherlands on a multi-product and multi-client site, this development and manufacturing facility supports pharmaceutical products for both clinical trials and commercial production.

The Role:

In order to maintain consistent management of their clinical and commercial contract manufacturing projects, they are looking for a Program Manager to be responsible for managing the intake, execution and close-out of commercial contract manufacturing projects. This goes from technical screening, through technology transfer and process development, to delivery of the final bulk product and documentation to the clients. As Program Manager you will assist the Business Manager in the acquisition of new projects and will monitor internal project budgets

Other responsibilities will include managing the project team members to deliver their assigned project tasks/results, which includes (but is not limited to) scientists, production supervisors, validation engineers and technicians from all departments contributing resources to the project. Furthermore, you will manage the program financials including revenue adherence and invoice delivery to ensure financial business targets are met.

Your Background:

A graduate in Life Sciences or Engineering (or equivalent) you will have a technical background in GMP and certification (PMP or Six Sigma (preferred)). It is essential that you have Project Management experience ideally gained within Biotechnology along with experience in technical leadership role. Industry experience is preferred as is Program Management experience and an understanding of biopharmaceutical product lifecycles is essential.

You will be a strong communicator who adopts a logical approach and is able to interact effectively with project teams and clients. You must have the ability to understand and interpret technical and business documents and apply appropriate actions and to interact and communicate with internal and external management. You will also have the ability to explain a topic in the appropriate context for full understanding. Strong skills in: persuasion, pragmatism, decisiveness, assertiveness and the ability to build support are also required. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English is essential with Dutch preferred.
