Analytical Chemist - Redcar
Sarah Farrow is recruiting for an Analytical Chemist on behalf of a busy testing laboratory, to be based at their site in Redcar on a permanent basis.
Our client is a well multinational provider of technical services to industry. They have been established for over 100 years and employ over 40,000 people globally. The site provides analytical services to the chemicals, pharmaceuticals and materials industries, and works on a broad range of technical projects.
Location:This role is located in Redcar, easily commutable from across Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire. There is ample free parking available on site, and there are catering and gym facilities available to staff.
The main purpose of your role will be to perform analytical testing on food packaging materials, supporting in the provision of compliance testing to EU and FDA methods, in compliance with ISO 17025 quality standards.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Supporting with analytical project work on behalf of other teams within the business.
- Writing accurate scientific reports based on analytical results for submission to customers.
To be considered for the position, you should ideally be qualified to BSc or apprenticeship level in Chemistry, or another relevant subject. Experience of using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC or Mass Spectrometry would be highly beneficial for this position.
