Sarah Farrow at CK Group is recruiting for an Analytical Chemist to join a family owned chemical manufacturing company at their facility located in Haltwhistle, Northumberland on a permanent basis. The company are currently going through an exciting period of growth and development, and offer the opportunity to progress with the company.

The site has good transport links to Newcastle and Carlisle, from which it is commutable.

The main purpose of the role will be to carry out quality control analysis on chemical products using a range of analytical methods, including Gas Chromatography and wet chemistry.

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting and calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Maintaining chemical stock levels.
  • Communicating with other departments to ensure timely completion of analysis on new and existing products.

You will also have the opportunity to support with R&D projects.

In order to be considered for this role, you should be qualified to minimum of BSc level in Chemistry or related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience. Experience of working in a commercial laboratory environment would be highly beneficial for this position.
