We are currently searching for a Director or Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology to effectively lead and manage clinical pharmacology projects within a brand new unit in Hertfordshire, UK.
As Clinical Pharmacology Director, you should be familiar with pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics principles with extensive training and experience in Clinical Pharmacology within drug development and registration. You will be expected to apply innovative ideas and scientific leadership to the clinical pharmacology program strategy.
With the ability to work both independently and in a cooperative team-based environment within the broad portfolio of small and large molecule drugs in development, in your role as Clinical Pharmacology Director, you will act as a primary point of contact for any clinical pharmacology activities. You will also be expected to interact regularly, credibly, and effectively with preclinical scientists, clinicians, translational medicine experts, and modelling and simulation scientists to develop the strategies from preclinical stages to life cycle management of the compound.
The ideal candidate for this Clinical Pharmacology Director, you will be a MD or PhD in clinical pharmacology/pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics (or equivalent) and will have with extensive related industry experience. It is essential that you have experience of leading clinical pharmacology projects in an industry setting with direct experience of designing and executing clinical studies and that you have a thorough understanding of GCP and regulatory aspects of clinical development. Experience in writing regulatory documents including common technical documents for NDA filings and a thorough knowledge of advanced modelling and simulation methodologies for effective decision making are also required. Any experience within Immunology/inflammation or cardiovascular therapeutic area would be a plus.
