We are currently working with Cancer Research UK to source a Biotherapeutics Production Manager for one of their manufacturing sites in Hertfordshire.
CR-UK is the pioneer of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer with over a century of research experience and consistent progress in the fight against cancer.
Based within an innovative, purpose-built biomanufacturing unit you will deliver novel biologics oncology drugs for early phase clinical trials. The unit is licensed by the MHRA to develop and manufacture biological anticancer agents.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-functional team to develop and supply novel oncology drug products for Drug Development.
We are looking for a driven and self-motivated individual to lead the production manufacture of biologics investigational medicinal products and provide technical expertise in finding biomanufacturing solutions for a broad range of product types from monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and viral vectors to plasmid DNA.
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of protein/antibody/DNA/virus purification techniques (including cell separation, filtration and column chromatography methods) and of mammalian and bacterial cell fermentation (experience with disposable systems desired). They will also be experienced with scale-up of biologics manufacturing processes.
