BioCity Nottingham grow to help rejuvenate MSD site

As reported by Pharma Times, CK Science’s corporate partner, Biocity Nottingham is to work closely with Scotland’s Roslin BioCentre to provide a new base for life sciences companies in Scotland.

BioCity Nottingham and the Roslin BioCentre will be taking over MSD’s 23 acre site to help, according to Louis Nisbet, BioCity Soctland Chairman,  support “pre-clinical drug discovery and development by a range of independent, ambitious companies”. Nisbet went on to state, that the new initiative “is much more than a property proposition – it will be a unique, vibrant community of scientific companies.”

The rejuvenated side will cater for start-up and growing life science companies looking to be based in the area. They will have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment including:

  • High-throughput screening
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance machines
  • Mass spectrometers
  • High-performance liquid chromatography
  • Electrophysiology
  • Cell culture suites
  • Centrifuges
  • Freezers
  • A library of 100,000 compounds

As Corporate Partners of BioCity Nottingham, CK Science is extremely excited about working closely with BioCity to help them achieve their objectives for this project.
