As reported by the Medical-Devicenetwork.com, The Smithers Group has announced their acquisition of Pira International. Pira are a leading provider of information and testing services to their clients in the paper, packaging and printing industry.
Founded in 1930, Pira International employs approximately 120 people at five sites across the UK and US.
Speaking of the acquisition, Michael Hochschwender, President and CEO of the Smithers Group, stated, “Pira represents a tremendous strategic fit for Smithers. We have long respected the Pira organization and we are excited about what this acquisition means for our clients in terms of the expanded service offerings they will see from both Smithers and Pira,” Mr Hochschwender added.
