Biopharmaceutical Product Leader Job – North East England

Our client is a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in the North East of England. They are seeking a Biopharmaceutical Product Leader to play a key role in the newly created Biopharmaceutical Centre of Excellence supporting secondary manufacturing.

As Biopharmaceutical Product Leader, you will provide a single point of contact for R&D, support all manufacturing sites with particularly difficult problems, mentor site based technical staff, and lead cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation for second generation processes. 

Responsibilities will include:

The main roles and responsibilities of this Biopharmaceutical Product Leader position are as follows:

  • Creation of a depth of biopharmaceutical technical capability and expertise
  • Development and maintenance of a strong technical understanding of secondary processing technologies
  • Provision of expert advice and input to biopharmaceutical product development and characterisation activities related to secondary processing
  • Resolution of emerging manufacturing and development issues and support for ongoing product evolution

 

Person specification:

The ideal candidate for this Biopharmaceutical Product leader role will have a background in biopharmaceutical secondary manufacturing and experience and an awareness of sterile liquid fill-finish and lyophilisation (vials and syringes). In addition, experience in managing concurrent projects and familiarity with operational excellence tools is also essential.

The successful candidate must be qualified to MSc / PhD level in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or equivalent industrial experience and knowledge.  Pharmaceutical industry experience in biopharmaceutical drug product process development or technical support of secondary manufacturing of licensed biopharmaceuticals is desired but not essential.

Packaging Technologist Job – North East England

Our client, a blue chip pharmaceutical company, located in North East England seek a Packaging Technologist to join their ever expanding team on a long term temporary basis.

The successful candidate for this Packaging Technologist role will assist in the introduction of new packs, support change control and deal with any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities of this Packaging Technologist role will include providing technical support for root cause analysis of packaging operations, ensure PQ validation of equipment, work to technical standards and SOP’s to ensure compliance and provide input into packaging component drawings and specifications.

Ideally you will have knowledge of the performance of packaging component materials and processes, e.g. foils, plastics, glass, board, varnish, glues, inks etc and have a degree in a chemistry related subject although not necessary, applicants with relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be considered.

North East Pharma Company Set for Expansion

NPD Technologist based in North East England

Our client is a food manufacturing organisation and a major player in the food industry. They require an NPD Technologist to join their team based in the North East of England.

Reporting to the NPD Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the onsite NPD function. This will include running development projects, technical transfer to full scale production and planning daily work schedules for the NPD technicians. There will also be some element of customer liaison in the NPD Manager’s absence and training staff.

The ideal candidate for this NPD Technologist role will be qualified to minimum HNC level in food technology or related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience and have a proven track record working in NPD.
