Microbiologist Job (Oil & Gas, Analytical) – Scotland

Our client provides analytical services to the chemical and oil & gas industry. They require a Microbiologist to join their busy laboratory in Scotland.

As Microbiologist, you will be responsible for test and analysis of oil and water under UKAS standards and also the collection of samples from a range of sites.

The ideal candidate for this Microbiologist position will be qualified to minimum HNC/HND level in microbiology or possess equivalent industrial experience and hold a current driving licence as you will need to be able to visit sites at short notice. Previous experience of analysing oil or water samples would also be useful.

Microbiologist Job (Pharmaceutical) – Wiltshire, UK

CK Science are currently searching for a Pharmaceutical Microbiologist to join a global CMO based in Wiltshire.

Responsibilities:

As a Pharmaceutical Microbiologist, the main focus of your role will be to carrying out scientific and technical tasks within the Microbiology Quality Control Department.

Your responsibilities will also include performing routine laboratory procedures such as Endotoxin, bioburden and TVC testing. You will be required to develop and validate laboratory procedures within the department and comply with cGMP in all areas of the business.

Person Specification:

For this role you will need a degree in Microbiology or a related discipline (or equivalent), and previous experience in a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory is essential.

Molecular Microbiologist – Cambridge, UK

A Molecular Microbiologist is required to join our client that specialises in developing a unique antibiotic technology to address how to destroy multi-drug resistant bacteria.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing research company in Cambridge with excellent commuting links to London and the North

The ideal candidate for this Molecular Microbiologist job will be a post-doctoral scientist with a strong background in Molecular Microbiology/Molecular Biology and will have the ability to develop products aimed at Clostridium difficile and a range of Gram negative organisms.

This Molecular Microbiologist demands a candidate with a strong and varied Molecular Biology skill set, ideally with some microbiological application (we are not looking for a Microbiologist, we want a Molecular Microbiologist). They will hold a PhD with post doc experience in a related area (or equivalent) and it is essential that they have industrial experience again in a relevant area.
