Our client is a food manufacturer based in the North East of England.  They require a QA Officer to join their busy manufacturing environment. 

As Senior QA Officer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining quality management systems and ensuring legislative compliance (including third-party accreditation) throughout the manufacturing process.  You must also work with suppliers and customers to chose specifications and quality procedures. And conduct internal audits. 

To be considered for this Senior QA Officer position you must be qualified to minimum HNC level in a food or science related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience and hold a proven track record in QA within a food manufacturing or similar environment.  Entitlement to work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, as Technical Compliance Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure all manufactured products comply with regulatory, company and customer standards
  • To ensure relevant technical and regulatory information is sourced, collated and made available to relevant teams
  • To validate legal label information for all new products and approve packaging and artwork.

 

Person Specification:

You must be qualified to HNC/HND in a related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience. You must also have a proven track record in food labelling and packaging information.

Working as a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providing process engineering support throughout the Commercialisation, New Product Introduction (NPI) and Scale-up of materials. Your duties will include evaluating design of experiments to understand relationship between raw material, process and final product parameters; completion of hazard study, FMEA’s and Risk Assessments of raw materials, products and packaging as well as performing transfer production from Product Development to Manufacturing and Scaling up for high volume manufacturing.

Chemist – North East, UK

A Chemist with experience of catalyst development or chemical engineering is required to join a research & development organisation based in the North East of England. This Chemist job is a part-time position.

The Chemist will work as part of the R&D team on a number of manufacturing based projects up to pilot plant stage. The projects will range from initial reactions to tabletting and will generally involve troubleshooting problems associated with scaling up manufacture.

The ideal candidate for this Chemist position will be qualified to a minimum degree level in chemistry or materials science or will possess equivalent industrial experience. You will also have a proven track record in catalysis, chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing along with experience in scale up, tabletting, R&D and engineering.

Process Technologist – Pharmaceutical, based in the South East, UK

Our client, a world-class pharmaceutical company, are currently seeking a Process Measurement Technologist to work on a new project that will potentially revolutionise the way medication is being manufactured. During this 18-month contract post, you will apply a hands-on approach in which you will be responsible for integrating PMT with process equipment and supporting/running manufacturing campaigns to collect key process data. This Process Technologist role will require you to work closely with IT experts to ensure that the data is managed effectively and to generate a high level of automation. This is a fast paced project in which you will need to deliver pragmatic PMT solutions to tight deadlines. You will then use these solutions to build process understanding and process control mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will be educated to MSc, MEng or PhD level in spectroscopy, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering or a similar scientific or engineering discipline with experience of pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing and knowledge of online process measurement technologies (PAT). Candidates who are educated to BSc or MEng with with demonstrable depth of knowledge and skills in process measurement technologies (PAT) and pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing will also be considered. This Process Measurement Technologist role also demands a candidate with a sound customer focus and great team working and communication skills. The successful applicant must also be prepared for a substantial amount of travel and must be aware that work at partners’ sites may also occur.
