CK Science are currently searching for a NPI Project Manager to join a global Medical Device company based in Oxfordshire, UK.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities of this NPI Project Manager will include providing technical support to the NPI (New Product Introduction) for the diabetes strip-manufacturing unit and supporting the unit to maintain production output and yields. Ensuring the analysis and interpretation of measurements in process and release test data, identify potential areas of inefficiency to drive continuous process, product, cost and quality improvements in the manufacturing unit. You will also ensure all work carried out in compliance with the correct processes and procedures and take ownership of assigned ER’s CAPA’s and VMP activities.

 

Person Specification:

For this NPI Project Manager role you will be degree qualified in a scientific/Engineering discipline (or equivalent) with previous experience in Validation. Previous knowledge of relevant processes, test methods, analytical techniques, experimental design, data analysis and statistical process control would be advantageous. You will have a good understanding of cGMP in Design Control and Validation. Understanding the principals behind Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies is essential and have excellent communication and IT skills. Previous experience in a highly regulated industry would be advantageous.

Quality Engineer based in Suffolk, UK

Our client, a global industry leader in Consumer & Medical Device Technology, are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to work from their state-of-the-art Manufacturing facilities based in Suffolk.

Joining their Quality Engineering Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key manufacturing improvements in line with continual improvement activities such as 5S, Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing.

As a Quality Engineer, you will also be involved in conducting audits utilising a range of quality tools (FMEA, Control Plan, 8D, Lean) in line with relevant quality standards (ISO 13485, 19001) as well as implementing non conformance reports and root cause analysis in order to ensure corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) are taken.

Engineering Manager based in the North East of England, UK

Our client, a global food manufacturer based in the North East of England, is currently looking for an Engineering Manager ideally from an FMCG environment, to join their team.  This innovative company is a brand leader in its markets and boasts a strong portfolio of food products.

As an Engineering Manager, you will manage a small maintenance team of multi-skilled engineers, semi-skilled operatives and administrators to ensure that all plant, services, ancillary equipment and facilities are maintained and repaired so that they operate efficiently at all times. Further responsibilities of this engineering role include:

  • Leading a team of engineering staff, by providing coaching and training, as well as managing the performance and discipline of the team as appropriate.
  • Ensuring the safety of the team and playing a leading part in the site-wide H&S management.
  • Operating an effective planned preventative maintenance system.
  • Ensuring that repair and servicing is completed as soon as possible after a fault is identified.
  • Setting up and managing project work.
  • Keeping your own skills current and abreast with new technology, practices and materials.
  • Participating in and pro-actively supporting carbon reduction initiatives and environmental management.
  • Managing engineering expenditure in line with budgets and business requirements.
  • Promoting and participating in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and environmental management initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a qualified engineer with a proven track record in food manufacturing within an FMCG environment. Previous supervisory experience, together with working knowledge of steam and refrigeration plant and PPM systems is also essential for this role.
