The job:

As an Analytical Development Chemist you will be joining an existing team of analysts who form the Analytical Development Group within the R & D department. In return there is an attractive salary, coupled with excellent benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications and skills:

The successful Analytical Development Chemist will have the following qualifications, skills & experiences:

  • Relevant experience in developing and validating analytical methods (preferably in a pharmaceutical environment)
  • Experience of HPLC and GC analysis
  • A strong theoretical and practical understanding of HPLC and GC
  • Experience of TLC and Titrimetric analysis
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a chemistry based discipline

Instrumentation Technician Job (Temporary) – Cambridgeshire, UK

Our Client is a leading Biotechnology company looking for a temporary Instrumentation Technician to join their team based in Cambridgeshire.

 

Responsibilities:

Your main responsibility will be evaluating the cause of instrumentation equipment breakdowns within the laboratories. As part of the role you will either perform any necessary repairs on the equipment and/or coordinate with external service providers.

 

Person Specification:

You will have a HND (or equivalent) in a relevant Scientific, Mechanical or Electrical discipline. Previous experience with fault finding, calibrating or repairing laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, PCR, SDS-Page, ELISA is essential. Prior experience of fault finding of electro-mechanical systems to a component level would be advantageous howevernot essential. This is a temporary position for 6 months and is a great opportunity to join this research company based in the Cambridge with excellent commuting links to the North and London.

GC Analyst based in the North East of England

Our client is an environmental testing laboratory that provides analytical services for a range of clients who are based in the North East of England.

This company is currently looking for an analytical chemist to join their team to work mainly on GC but also in other analytical instrumentation as and when required. As a GC Analyst, you may also be required to provide support to other chemists within the team and provide general support around the laboratory.

The ideal candidate for this GC Analyst role must be qualified to a minimum HNC in chemistry or related scientific subject or possess equivalent industrial experience with some experience of working with GC.
