Technical Compliance Assistant Job – North East, UK

Our client is a food manufacturer based in the North East of England. They require a Technical Compliance Assistant  to join their technical compliance team.

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, as Technical Compliance Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure all manufactured products comply with regulatory, company and customer standards
  • To ensure relevant technical and regulatory information is sourced, collated and made available to relevant teams
  • To validate legal label information for all new products and approve packaging and artwork.

 

Person Specification:

You must be qualified to HNC/HND in a related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience. You must also have a proven track record in food labelling and packaging information.

This quality focused business is looking to appoint a Microbiology Manager who can lead the microbiology team and help realise the potential of the analysts in a truly committed food safety focused team.

 

Responsibilities:

As Microbiology Manager, your skills will be focused upon the management of the laboratory, prioritising and delegating work and ensuring samples are analysed in the time available and to the standards required by the business and customers.  You will help manage the day-to-day interface with the customer by reporting results and investigating queries.  You will manage the analyst team by leading and motivating them, organising rotas and ensuring their training and developmental needs are met.

Working as a Regulatory Affairs Manager you will be responsible for the management of the Regulatory Affairs department, including liaising with colleagues to gather information needed for any task across principally product formulations, finished product specifications and raw materials for new and reformulated products. You will also be responsible for maintaining high level of awareness of UK and European Regulatory issues and industry standards for nutritional food supplements and herbal medicines.

To be considered for this Regulatory Affairs Manager role you will have a degree in a relevant scientific discipline (or equivalent) and proven practical experience within a Regulatory Affairs function in the food supplement or pharmaceutical industries. Previous experience in the food supplement industry or knowledge of the new herbal regulations would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

5,000 Science Jobs to be created in Norwich

Norwich Research Park is Europe’s leading centre for research in food, health and environmental sciences.  The £5m Innovation Centre has 30 units for science-related businesses. Currently, the park comprises the Sainsbury Laboratory, the Genome Analysis Centre and the University of East Anglia, as well as a number of science and innovation businesses. At present, there is almost 3,000 scientists based at the park/

Specifications Technologist (Food) – Yorkshire, UK

A Specifications Technologist is required to join a Food Manufacturer based in Yorkshire, UK on a permanent basis.

As Specifications Technologist, you will be responsible for gathering food specification information both internally and externally and interpreting/inputting the data so that it matches the requirements for customer specifications.

Further responsibilities of this Specifications Technologist job will include:

  • Updating and maintaining all finished product specifications, supplier ingredient and packaging specification files
  • Maintaining customer own format specifications
  • Creating pack copy for technical aspects of product artwork and labels
  • Liaising with ingredient and packaging suppliers and maintaining technical information systems.

The ideal candidate for this Specifications Technologist role will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a food related subject with experience of BRC or ISO9000 auditing. NPD Technologist – Food – North East, UK

A graduate level NPD Technologist is required to join a food manufacturer based in the North East of England. This NPD Technologist will join the company’s New Product Development team within the food technology department.

Working as an NPD Technologist your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Assisting in development projects with short turnaround times.
  • Working with the sales team on development of new products.
  • Producing product specifications and nutritional information.
  • Dealing with technical and engineering issues.

The ideal candidate for this NPD Technologist job will have graduated to a minimum 2:1 degree level in a food, nutritional science or related subject or possess equivalent industrial experience. Some experience working in New Product Development would also be useful though not essential for this NPD Technologist role.
