Laboratory Application Specialist Job in East Midlands

Naynesh Mistry is recruiting for a Laboratory Application Specialist to join a specialist in Instrument Cleaning Chemistries based at their site in the East Midlands on a permanent basis.

Laboratory Application Specialist Job Description

As Laboratory Application Specialist, you will investigate the cleaning efficacy of medical instrument cleaning chemistries in a laboratory environment and also the application of the medical instrument cleaning chemistries and instrument washer disinfectors.

Further responsibilities of this Laboratory Application Specialist position include:

  • To evaluate instrument cleaning products in washer disinfectors as directed by line manager, this includes, inter alia, participation in project teams, conducting studies, completing project paperwork and organising distribution of validation / verification reports.
  • To conduct instrument cleaning chemistry dosing analysis to support field applications across EMEA.
  • To use and maintain associated laboratory analytical equipment.
  • To use and maintain associated laboratory test and calibration equipment.
  • To report, where required, on potential washer disinfector system upgrade requirements to ensure successful integration of instrument cleaning chemistries into a range of washer disinfector technologies.
  • To maintain database and in-depth knowledge of all appropriate international standards, regulations and publications.
  • To undertake international travel (10 – 20% of role) to attend company and group meetings, customer meetings, conferences & symposia.

 

Further information:

This position requires international travel, extensive use of phone, computers and equipment in office, laboratory and plant environment. Travel expenses will be covered by the client. 

As a Laboratory Application Specialist will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A minimum qualification of a degree or equivalent in chemistry, but preferably a BSc.
  • Research experience in cleaning chemistries and associated washer disinfectors is desirable.
  • Must be familiar with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or have other relevant Quality System experience.
  • Must be literate with Microsoft software including Excel & Outlook, knowledge of Micosoft Project would be an advantage.

Process Improvement Manager: Job Description

Our client, a major Healthcare organisation is currently recruiting for a Process Improvement Manager to join their team based in the East Midlands.

As Process Improvement Manager you will provide focus on the development of new and existing processes. By building quality in to the process design our products will be produced in the most efficient way and meet the customer and regulatory needs.

You will also be responsible for leading the Process Improvement Team to provide an efficient service to optimise manufacturing and cleaning processes using a Quality By Design approach whilst ensuring the validation activities meet Regulatory and Customer requirements.

As Process Improvement Manager, you will need to provide an effective New Product Introduction service for Clinical Trial clients to ensure new products are introduced successfully and that the processes are developed and validated to ensure the required levels of product quality and regulatory compliance are met. You will also need to deliver a comprehensive process, equipment and cleaning validation programme in accordance with cGMP and Customer requirements.

The ideal candidate:

To be considered for this Process Improvement Manager role, you will have previous experience in the development or manufacture of healthcare products with a proven track record of new product introduction is critical to this role. In depth knowledge of cGMP, multiple dosage forms with an emphasis on sterile products and an awareness of Unlicensed and Licensed Legislation are key to your success in this role and previous leadership and management skills would be an advantage.

Process Compliance Officer Job (Chemicals) – East Midlands, UK

Our client is a leading supplier of closed-die forgings to the automotive, aerospace and power generation industries. Production includes aero-engine rotating parts in titanium and nickel-base super alloys, and steel and alloy parts for power transmission and bearing applications.

The company are currently looking for a Process Compliance Officer to join the Certification team responsible for stamping and certifying all production that leaves the facility.

Responsibilities:

This Process Compliance Officer role will involve:

Reviewing documentation in line with company and departmental procedures to ensure full compliance to drawing, specification and customer specific requirements. The role will involve creating certificates of conformities to enable final releaseof product for shipment.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will come for a production environment and have experience in dealing with documents and specifications to a high degree of accuracy. Ideally you will have worked in a compliance or quality role where attention to detail is paramount. This role, commutable from the North West and West Midlands, offers a competitive salary depending on experience and would suit any senior scientist or manager with aerosols experience.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of this Technical Manager will be to ensure the development, continual improvement, cost engineering, rationalisation and legislative compliance of the Aerosol range.

With applications in the industrial, cleaning, lubricants, paints, adhesives, insecticides and automotive sectors, this is a key role with responsibilty for planning and implementing the aerosol development programme.

You will also be accountable for the provision of a critical interface with both internal and external customers on many aspects of product technical support from applications through to safety.

A significant aim of the Technical Manager is to strive for product excellence through constant product appraisal and utilisation of technical advancements to be able to offer customers new and innovative ways to meet applications.

The Technical Manager will be actively involved in the R&D of new and existing products to meet customer or industry requirements, which will include the engineering of products to ensure that they are competitive.

You will establish priorities and ensure the correct focus of available resources as well as ensuring the company remains abreast of advances in technology and any existing or proposed legislation.

You will manage, motivate, develop and train subordinates under your direct supervision and will analyse and evaluate competitor products to aid product development and sales support.

Providing report to internal departments and customers you will also deliver technical support to the factory in the manufacture and processing of newly developed products as well as for customers and sales personnel. Out of hours support via a technical helpline is also required on a rotational basis.

 

Person Specification:

To be considered for this Technical Manager position you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in chemistry and will have considerable experience within the industrial chemicals aerosols industry. Having worked within R&D, you will currently be in a senior position or will be ready for your next step up having gained supervisory experience.
