<h3 style="text-align: justify; padding-top: 25px;">Responsibilities: </h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As a Product Development Manager you will be responsible for the management of the development of new products and/or processes.  You will also help and, when required, manage company wide internal and external projects.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify; padding-top: 25px;">Skills and experience:</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The ideal candidate for this Product Development Manager role will have relevant experience in product development, with demonstrable experience with managing/co-ordinating product development projects in a GMP environment.  You must have a proven track record of immunohematology, reagent formulation, reagent manipulations or assay development.  In addition the successful candidate must have excellent communication skills including presentation, report writing, leadership skills and experience, and able to organise themselves and the work of others.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As a Cell Biologist you will assist with characterisation of the binding properties and biological activity of domain antibodies and recombinant proteins to support early stage drug discovery programmes.</p>
<h3 style="padding-top: 25px;">The ideal candidate:</h3>
<p>The ideal candidate for this Cell Biologist role will have the following skills:</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Essential for this role is your practical experience in cell culture, assay development and optimisation of fluorescence based techniques such as Flow Cytometry, confocal microscopy and FRET.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Ability to implement and run siRNA knockdown protocols is essential.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You should be highly motivated and have a proven ability to handle multiple projects working both within a team and independently.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Your experience of biological assay techniques will be complemented with a desire to develop, trouble shoot and validate protocols. </li>
</ul>
<h3 style="padding-top: 25px;">Qualifications:</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For this Cell Biologist role you must have a life science degree, PhD (or equivalent) and research experience in the field of cell biology and an understanding of molecular biology would be advantageous.  This is a temporary position until December 2011.</p>

They are currently looking for a <strong>Senior Assay Development Scientist</strong> to head up their <strong>Assay Development Team</strong> based from their site in London.</p>
<p>This is an outstanding opportunity to join an innovative Diagnostic Technology organisation, which is at the forefront of biosensor diagnostics. In return they offer a negotiable salary depending on experience and excellent benefits.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities:</h3>
<p>As the Senior Assay Development Scientist, you will be responsible for management of a team involved in the design and development of immunoassays; integration of immunoassay reagents with optical detection systems based on fluorescent, phosphorescent and absorbance measurement and with microfluidic analysis platforms; immobilisation of antibodies onto a variety of solid substrates as well as liaising with other internal divisions throughout the projects.</p>
<h4>Requirements:</h4>
<p>To be considered for this Senior Assay Development Scientist role, you will have a degree / PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a relevant biomedical science (or equivalent) and thorough knowledge of immunoassay design &amp; development and demonstrated people management experience. Experience of biosensor technology and microfluidics is desirable but it is not essential.</p>

<p>Our client is currently seeking to recruit an Assay Scientist to work with them on a permanent basis at their site in Liverpool.</p>
<p>As Senior Assay Scientist, you will be involved developing and maintaining an extensive portfolio of bioanalytical assays across a range of therapeutic areas for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare sectors.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Laboratory Director, working as Senior Assay Scientist your main responsibilities will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Providing professional, scientific and technical support to laboratory team.</li>
<li>Liaising with the Laboratory Director, lead on identifying and developing new assays, products and services.</li>
<li>Preparation of research and scientific documentation in support of assay development, system and service validations and process changes.</li>
<li>Providing specialist and scientific knowledge and expertise to the clinical trials team in developing the company’s clinical trial capabilities and performance.</li>
<li>Liaising with Laboratory Manager to ensure the effective management and delivery of clinical trials within the laboratory to specified commercial and contractual specifications.</li>
<li>Ensuring effective management and operation of laboratory instrumentation, sample processing and reporting and all other general laboratory activities.</li>
<li>Liaising with Quality Manager, ensure all laboratory staff and systems operate effectively within the Quality Management System.</li>
<li>Liaising with the Data Manager, ensure the effective management, analysis, control and security of all data generated by or received by the laboratory.</li>
<li>Contributing to the wider scientific and commercial development of the company through the Group Scientific Committee and specified project work.</li>
</ul>
<p>The ideal candidate for this Senior Assay Scientist role will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or higher in a Pharmaceutical or Biomedical subject and have postgraduate bioanalytical and scientific laboratory experience. A strong track record in developing new bioanalytical assays (LCMS) from first principles to implementation is also required. Entitlement to work in the EEA is essential.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client is involved in supporting healthcare providers and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries with technically advanced testing services. This innovative and dynamic company are currently looking for an Assay Scientist to work with them on a permanent basis at their site in Liverpool.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Laboratory Director, this Senior Assay Scientist job will involve developing and maintaining an extensive portfolio of bio-analytical assays across a range of therapeutic areas for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare sectors.</p>
<p>Further responsibilities of this Scientist role will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Providing professional, scientific and technical support to laboratory team.</li>
<li>Acting as the primary lead in developing an extensive portfolio of bioanalytical assays, mainly in small molecules, across a range of therapeutic areas for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors for clinical trials and routine service testing to the healthcare sector.</li>
<li>Preparation of research and scientific documentation in support of assay development, system and service validations and process changes.</li>
<li>Providing specialist and scientific knowledge and expertise to the clinical trials team in developing the company’s clinical trial capabilities and performance.</li>
<li>Liaising with Laboratory Manager to ensure the effective management and delivery of clinical trials within the laboratory to specified commercial and contractual specifications.</li>
<li>Liaising with Quality Manager, ensure all laboratory staff and systems operate effectively within the Quality Management System.</li>
<li>Liaising with the Data Manager, ensure the effective management, analysis, control and security of all data generated by or received by the laboratory.</li>
</ul>
<p>The ideal candidate for this Senior Assay Scientist role will be educated to MSc, or equivalent, in the pharmaceutical, biomedical or life science sectors. Postgraduate bioanalytical and scientific laboratory experience is also desirable, preferably gained within a pharmaceutical, diagnostics or public sector laboratory environment. In addition, a strong track record of achievement in the development of new bioanalytical assays from first principles to implementation within a clinical trial or routine healthcare testing environment is also desirable.</p>

<p>Working as an Immunoassay Development Scientist, you will oversee the maintenance and growth of hybridomas for monoclonal antibody production and the purification of component materials from sources such as recombinant organisms, hybrodomas or other biological systems. You will also assist in the design, development and troubleshooting of all immunoassay development projects to verify and validate the product.</p>
<p>The successful candidate for this Immunoassay Development Scientist job will be<strong> </strong>educated<strong> </strong>to degree level or equivalent in a science related subject and that you have knowledge of working to GLP. Experience of analytical techniques such as ELISA, 2D electrophoresis, protein purification and cell culture is also essential.</p>
