Naynesh Mistry at CK Science is currently recruiting for a R&D Scientist to join a leading company in sterilisation monitoring systems, to be based in East Midlands on a permanent basis.
Summary:
To assist the Research and Development (R&D) team^in the research and development of new and existing products from the planning phase to the production phase and providing technical support for quality assurance and production activities. To project manage development projects in accordance with the Company’s design control system.
As a R&D Scientist you will:
-Manage a portfolio of research and development projects of different types in accordance with the Company’s design control system.
-To conduct routine assays of test solutions and^active ingredients to support R&D, quality assurance and production activities.
-To use routinely and maintain analytical equipment.
-To liaise with clients, collaborators and contacts, e.g. arranging external trials, sourcing materials and equipment.
-To train and mentor R&D and other personnel in new methods, techniques and procedures arising from their projects.
-Be aware of the organisation’s Quality Management System and work to ensure that it is maintained.
-Any other duties which can reasonably be expected of the post holder given their knowledge, skills and experience.
The successful R&D Scientist will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
-A minimum qualification of a BSc or equivalent in chemistry or^chemistry-related physical science.
-Research experience would be useful but is not essential. Knowledge of any of the following would be an advantage: ink formulation, colloid chemistry, microbiology.
-Must be familiar with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and/or have other relevant Quality System experience.
-Must be literate with Microsoft software including Word, Excel & Outlook; knowledge of Microsoft Project would be useful.
