Description

Victoria Walker is recruiting for a Certification Engineer to join a testing and certification company based in Derbyshire, on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Certification Engineer, the main purpose of your role will be to provide a technical^service on behalf of the company to customers who have applied for certificates, confirming compliance of equipment with various published standards.

Further responsibilities of this Certification Engineer will include:
-Assessing the design of,^and examine and test prototype equipment in accordance with requirements in published Standards and relevant procedure documents.
-Prepare assessment, certification, examination or test reports in accordance with the relevant procedure documents.
-Assess any drawing, photographic and/or descriptive documentation required to completely specify the equipment for compliance with the relevant Standards.
-Prepare Certificates to describe in sufficient detail the equipment being certified, together^with any acceptable variations in the design, including reference to any assessed documentation.
-Communicate with and, when necessary, have face to face discussions with manufacturers or their agents.
-Estimate the cost of carrying out an assessment, testing and/or certification exercise.
-Specify the sample equipment, together with any special requirements necessary to enable the complete assessment, testing and/or certification exercise to be carried out.
-Ensure full compliance with the^Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and act in accordance with the company’s UK’s Equality & Diversity Policy, and ensure others do so.
-At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.

As a Certification Engineer, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Technical qualification gained through higher education in an engineering subject - essential; Degree level qualification or equivalent in an engineering discipline - desirable
-General engineering background
Clear written English
-Personal time management to enable the handling of multiple projects for multiple^customers simultaneously
-Knowledge of the Protection Concepts employed in Hazardous Areas - desirable
-Experience of equipment designed to meet the ATEX Directive - desirable
-Experience in an engineering environment of drawing office practice, factory production and quality control methods or systems - desirable
As Certification Engineer you will be working with a testing and certification company based in Derbyshire.
-Salary depending on experience
-Starting ASAP
