These are great tips! I've been exploring this topic recently since beginning to read the book "Your Work, Your Life...Your Way - 7 Keys to Work-Life Balance" by Julie Cohen. It takes a coaching-oriented approach to this topic, and what you say here mirrors some of the info provided in the book. It's quite empowering and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to attain a harmonious work/life balance. Here's the link - http://www.7keystoworklifebalance.com/book/

Thanks again for this concise information. =)

Can I suggest an interesting comic book called the “Manga Guide to Molecular Biology” that helps keep students interested while learning the basics of molecular biology. May be of interest. http://cbt20.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/molecular-biology-comic-book-style/

I just have to say this was probably one of the most intelligent articles I've had the chance to go over on the topic so far. I don't know where you get all your data but keep it coming! I'm gunna send some individuals your way to read this. Awesome, simply amazing. I'm have just started getting into crafting articles myself, nothing remotely close to your writing potential (ha!) but I would love for you to take my work in progress someday!

I graduated in 2005 with a 2:1 Hons in Biochemistry. I currently work in Analytical science in Dundee. My background is proteomics (dundee university)and drug discovery/metabolism. I am seeking a change in direction as I feel I would be more suited to a more hands on role. I am interested in the instrumentation maintenance side of things and would like to be considered for any such vacancies.

regards

Sol Gibson.
