<p>As Senior Medical Device Technologist your key responsibilities will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Providing technical support to the NPI (New Product Introduction) for the diabetes strip-manufacturing unit and supporting the unit to maintain production output and yields.</li>
<li>Ensuring the analysis and interpretation of measurements in process and release test data, identify potential areas of inefficiency to drive continuous process, product, cost and quality improvements in the manufacturing unit.</li>
<li>You will also ensure all work carried out in compliance with the correct processes and procedures and take ownership ofassigned ER&#8217;s CAPA&#8217;s and VMP activities.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Requirements:</h3>
<p>For this role you will be degree qualified in a scientific/engineering discipline (or equivalent) with previous experience in Validation.</p>
<p>Previous knowledge of relevant processes, test methods, analytical techniques, experimental design, data analysis and statistical process control would be advantageous. You will have a good understanding of cGMP in Design Control and Validation.</p>
<p>Understanding the principles behind Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies is essential and have excellent communication and IT skills. Previous experience in a highly regulated industry would be advantageous.</p>

<p>Responsibilities will include protein library design and construction, library selection and screening, lead characterization using various molecular and biochemical methods.</p>

<h3>Requirements:</h3>
<p>The ideal candidate for this Protein Engineer job will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in molecular biology, biochemistry or related discipline, with experience gained in pharmaceutical or biotech industry.</p>
<p>The successful candidate should have expertise in protein engineering and Phage Display. Significant working experience is required in DNA manipulation techniques, library design &amp; construction, as well as selection (in vitro display technology). Experience in antibody engineering, nextgeneration sequencing, high-throughput screening and bioinformatics (sequences alignment, structure prediction, docking) is desired:</p>
<p>The candidate must also demonstrate high motivation, productivity in a dynamic collaborative environment, effective communication skills and good team work in addition to flexibility in learning new skills. Excellent optimization and troubleshooting skills and keen attention to details are desired.</p>

<p>As Quality Engineering Manager, you will also be expected to provide the Quality function in the review of device related documentation and other quality system related activities.</p>
<h3>Key responsibilities will include:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Evaluating proposed new suppliers (by audit) for use with device programmes.</li>
<li>Providing guidance, support and information to project colleagues on device quality issues.</li>
<li>Logging and co-ordinating responses to customer complaints.</li>
<li>Working with existing suppliers to ensure project quality goals are met. </li>
<li>Ensuring the timely audit of current device approved supplier list.</li>
<li>Providing Device Quality representation during customer/regulatory body visits/audits.</li>
<li>Managing device Quality activities of the Quality Scientist.</li>
<li>Reviewing device supplier devices and device component BMR&#8217;s for use in Clinical Trials.</li>
<li>Ensuring client Quality activities are managed and met appropriately.</li>
</ul>

<p>As Quality Engineering Manager, you will also be responsible for proposing what decisions should be made within the section and what needs to be referred. You will be able to make decisions within your own function, under pressure including unpopular decisions and will be able to prioritise your own and others activities to achieve deadlines.</p>
<p>The role will be 80% office based and 20% Inter-site based so travel between sites will be required</p>

<h3>Requirements:</h3>
<p>The ideal candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate Science or Engineering discipline and will have worked for Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device companies or a similarly regulated Engineering company. It is essential that they have substantial experience gained from previous roles, one of which should have been in a Medical Devices role.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will be proactive in providing innovative solutions and evaluating alternatives, will be able to apply a systematic/logical approach taking in to account information from a variety of sources and will be able to deal with complex problems. <h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3>
<p>As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for project management of a multi-disciplinary project team involved in research into novel glucose biosensor technology for use in various diagnostic and point-of-care diagnostic applications.</p>
<p>Your duties will be split between people management of a team of Scientists &amp; Engineers and hands on aspects including conceptualisation &amp; design of the optical grating based sensors; conducting studies to devise methods of manufacture at lab scale as well as development of prototypes and test rigs in order to carry out verification, validation and test of sensor designs and method of manufacture.</p>
<p>This is an outstanding opportunity to join an innovative and industry leading Medical Device Diagnostic organisation, which are at the forefront of development in novel biosensor technology.</p>
<h3><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></h3>
<p>To be considered for this Senior Chemist role, you will have a BSc / MSc / PhD in a Chemistry, Materials or Physical Science discipline (or equivalent) and proven practical experience in a product development function of medical device technology including demonstrated project management / people supervisory experience and working knowledge of polymer coatings &amp; materials used in optical technology. Specific knowledge of diagnostic medical device / biosensor technology would be highly advantageous, but it is not essential.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client, a world-class biotechnology company based in the Central Belt of Scotland, are currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Scientist to be responsible for ensuring the contract manufacture of IMP/APIs to GMP standard.As a Senior Manufacturing Scientist you will maintain GMP compliance and assist in the effective technical transfer of projects.  Further responsibilities will include:</p>
<p>- Performing activities related to the contract manufacture of Investigational Medicinal Products</p>
<p>- Identifying and resolving procedural/equipment/manufacturing problems and deviations, while requiring minimal line management direction.</p>
<p>- Monitoring equipment to ensure continued calibration and maintenance, and that all equipment used in the manufacturing process and any new equipment is validated for its particular use.</p>
<p>- Liaising closely with the Director of Operations for the effective planning and technical transfer of projects from Development to GMP manufacturing according to project plans by providing specialist technical knowledge and practical expertise, ensuring all relevant documentation is in place.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will have a qualification in a Life Science or Biological Science discipline and/or 3-5 years relevant practical experience. It would be desirable if you have an understanding and experience of Stem Cells Culture, bacterial fermentation or mammalian bioreactor vessels. Knowledge of Mammalian Cell Culture is essential.</p>
<p>This role will be initially temporary for 6 months with a strong likelihood of going permanent thereafter.</p>

The main aim of this validation role is to provide technical expertise to drive continuous improvement. You will join a talented team based in West Sussex. This is an ideal location for London and the South Coast.  As a Validation Support Technician your main responsibilities will include:</p>
<p>- Supporting the Orals Value Stream by writing and executing validation documents according to a Validation Master plan which aims to drive increased Quality, Compliance and Business Improvements.</p>
<p>- Maintaining the existing validation status via review and revalidation and be part of the team that delivers the Validation Master Plan</p>
<p>- Supporting the Process Support and the Business Improvement Teams team in prospective validation associated with projects,</p>
<p>- Responsibility for all areas of validation within at least one of the four Orals Value Steam production and be required.</p>
<p>- Acquire knowledge of the location and content of existing Validation documentation and through this be able to represent Validation in 3rd Party Audits as Value Steam Expert as either Lead or Support.</p>
<p>Educated to Degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, as well as strong planning and organisational ability. Working as a Validation Support Technician, you will also need to be able to work effectively both on your own initiative, as part of a team and be able to liaise at all levels of the organisation from technician to Operations Manager.</p>

This is a Senior Leadership role for Quality Assurance serving both the external client and internal QA Departments.As an experienced Quality Assurance Director, you will act as the primary contact for all client-related QA communication, and the development and implementation of Quality Agreements. Further responsibilities of the role will include:</p>
<p>- Overseeing all quality-related concerns.</p>
<p>- Functioning as a liaison between a single, large-market clients and internal personnel.</p>
<p>- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with client QA senior management.</p>
<p>- Managing the single client&#8217;s quality and regulatory matters, CGMP compliance and two-way communication.</p>

<p>The Liverpool Pancreatic Biomedical Research Unit (PBRU) is a new research unit, funded in 2008 by the NHS National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), to investigate pancreatic diseases. The PBRU is built around the world class excellence of pancreatic research in Liverpool, incorporating the strengths of the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals Trust, the University of Liverpool and associated Industrial partners. The purpose of the PBRU is to translate basic pancreatic research into a clinical setting. Overall the research will focus on three themes: drug discovery and development of new interventions; application of new diagnostic and imaging strategies and validation of new biomarkers and screening protocols.</p>
<p>The PBRU has set up a Pancreas Clinical Research Facility (PCRF), which specialises in early phase clinical trials of novel diagnostic approaches and novel compounds for the treatment of pancreatic diseases. This facility is the first of its kind in the country. The PCRF is located close to the two pancreatic inpatient wards at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. The state-of- art facility will monitor both inpatients and outpatients up to level 2 care. Certain studies will also involve healthy volunteers.</p>
<p>Apart from clinical trials managed within the PCRF, the PBRU has also adopted several other clinical trials, which are linked to our Good Clinical Laboratory Practice and Drug Discovery Laboratories. The PBRU works closely with the Liverpool Cancer Trials Unit, Liverpool Cancer Research-UK Centre and the Liverpool Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre, which is part of the UK Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre Network.</p>
<p>We wish to appoint 3 Specialist Research Nurses, who will work within the exciting and challenging environment of the PBRU, being responsible for patient care and the management of clinical trials in the PCRF. Furthermore, the Specialist Research Nurses will assist in the execution of other clinical trials adopted by the PBRU.</p>
